West Ham relegated despite win over Leeds

The Story So Far

West Ham United have been relegated from the Premier League following the conclusion of the top-flight season. Despite securing a victory against Leeds United at the London Stadium in their final fixture, the result was not enough to prevent the club’s descent into the Championship. This outcome marks the end of the Hammers' fourteen-year tenure in the highest division of English football. Although the team managed to earn a win on the closing day, it was ultimately insufficient to ensure survival. The club now prepares for life in the second tier after over a decade competing at the elite level.
