West Ham Interested In World Cup Defender That Missed All of 2025

The Story So Far

West Ham United are reportedly monitoring an international defender who has experience competing in the World Cup. The player in question remained out of competitive action for the duration of 2025, missing the entire calendar year. Despite this recent period of absence, the Hammers are linked with a move to bring the defender to East London to provide additional options for the backline. The club’s recruitment staff is reportedly evaluating the individual's history in major tournaments as they seek to add depth and international pedigree to the squad. This potential pursuit indicates ongoing efforts to identify experienced personnel capable of contributing to the defensive rotation.
