West Ham fans should be worried about Mavropanos, not Kilman

The Story So Far

West Ham United’s defensive structure has come under renewed scrutiny, with recent evaluations drawing a distinction between the performances of Konstantinos Mavropanos and Max Kilman. While Kilman joined as a notable addition to the squad, some observers suggest that immediate concerns should be directed toward Mavropanos instead. The defender's role within the backline is facing closer inspection as his consistency and overall impact on the pitch are questioned. This shift in focus indicates that while new arrivals often face the most pressure, established members of the defense are also being held to high standards. The Hammers continue to prioritize finding a stable and reliable central pairing to ensure consistent results.
