‘Too Many Midfielders’ – West Ham Rejected Mouzakitis Before £13m Hull Move

The Story So Far

West Ham United reportedly opted against securing the services of midfielder Mouzakitis prior to his recent transfer to Hull City. The East London club decided not to move forward with the acquisition because the recruitment department felt the first-team squad was already sufficiently stocked with central options. Consequently, the player finalized a move to his new club in a deal worth an estimated £13 million. This decision reflects the club's focus on managing squad size and ensuring that new arrivals do not create an imbalance in positions where several established players are already competing for a starting role.
