'I hope' - Leicester City boss outlines stance on Sheffield United and West Ham United-linked defender
The Story So Far
West Ham United's reported pursuit of a Leicester City defender has met with resistance from the club's management. The Leicester City head coach has addressed ongoing speculation regarding the player's future, expressing a firm desire for the individual to remain part of his squad. While West Ham are reportedly monitoring the defensive talent, they face competition from Sheffield United for his signature. The manager's public stance indicates a preference to retain the player despite interest from multiple clubs. This development suggests that any potential move to East London may require navigating Leicester's reluctance to sell a valued member of their current defensive unit.
