EFL Championship 2026: Millwall and West Ham rivalry could return next season, Championship playoffs, Premier League relegation battle, history, why they hate each other

The Story So Far

West Ham United could see a return of their intense rivalry with Millwall during the 2026 season as league movements potentially align the two clubs. The possibility of these sides meeting again hinges on the outcomes of the current Premier League relegation battle and the Championship playoffs. Should results in these respective competitions place both teams in the same division, it would mark a significant moment in their shared competitive history. This long-standing friction remains a notable aspect of English football, with any future encounter likely to draw significant attention due to the storied and hostile nature of their past meetings.
