Burton Albion 0-1 West Ham: FA Cup fourth round – as it happened

The Story So Far

West Ham United progressed in the FA Cup fourth round following a narrow victory over Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium. In a match characterized by a lack of clinical quality, the Hammers eventually secured the win during second-half stoppage time. Crysensio Summerville provided the decisive moment when his late effort took a deflection to find the net. The fixture, held on Valentine's Day, was subject to a brief delay as grounds staff repaired a damaged goal net. The afternoon was also marked by off-field tensions, as a protest banner directed at the club’s board was displayed by a plane flying over the ground.
