Are West Ham single-handedly making relegation battle interesting?

The Story So Far

West Ham United have significantly tightened the Premier League relegation scrap following a recent surge in competitive form. A two-goal victory away at Burnley has moved the club to within three points of Nottingham Forest, who currently occupy the position immediately above the bottom three. This narrow margin represents the closest gap between seventeenth and eighteenth place since the Christmas period. The Hammers have now secured three wins from their last four league fixtures, revitalizing their survival prospects while other basement sides continue to struggle. Their improved results ensure the fight to avoid the drop remains highly contested heading into the season’s final stages.
