In their last two outings, the Blues had been thumped by Manchester City along with a defeat to Arsenal, but they went ahead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium through Keira Walsh. Alyssa Thompson doubled their advantage early in the second half as Chelsea stayed third in the standings and went four points clear of Spurs, who remain fifth.
