West Ham United warned off free striker move: Should The Hammers still go after him?

The Story So Far

West Ham United are reportedly facing external warnings regarding a potential move for a forward available as a free agent. While the specific player's identity is not mentioned, the club's recruitment strategy is being questioned as they evaluate the advantages of a cost-effective signing against the associated risks. Securing a striker without a transfer fee offers the Hammers a chance to enhance their offensive depth, yet analysts have suggested caution regarding the player's profile. The club must now decide whether to continue their pursuit of the unattached goalscorer or focus on alternative targets to strengthen the squad for future matches.
