West Ham foremost in race to sign 20-year-old Serie A centre-back, face Newcastle United battle

The Story So Far

West Ham United are reportedly positioned at the front of the queue to secure a 20-year-old centre-back currently playing in Italy’s top flight. The Hammers are seeking to bolster their defensive options with this young talent from Serie A, though they are not the only English club monitoring the situation. Fellow Premier League side Newcastle United are also credited with an interest in the player, potentially leading to a competitive pursuit during the transfer window. While the London club appears to be leading the race for the defender's signature, the involvement of other top-tier domestic rivals indicates a significant battle for his services.
