Report claims renewed interest in January signing who could fix West Ham’s leaking defence

The Story So Far

West Ham United are reportedly revisiting a potential defensive acquisition ahead of the upcoming January transfer window. Internal assessments suggest that the club is looking to bolster their backline following a period of inconsistent performances and conceded goals. Recent speculation indicates that the recruitment team has identified a specific target previously under consideration to help solidify the defensive unit. While the identity of the individual remains subject to further reports, the focus appears to be on securing a player capable of addressing existing vulnerabilities. Strengthening the squad mid-season could prove pivotal for the Hammers as they aim to improve their defensive record during the latter stages of the campaign.
