Newcastle United close to signing defender from West Ham United

The Story So Far

West Ham United are reportedly on the verge of parting with a defender as Newcastle United nears a deal to secure the player's services. The two Premier League clubs are in advanced discussions regarding the transfer, which would see a member of the Hammers’ defensive unit relocate to Tyneside. Should the move be finalized, it will require West Ham to evaluate their remaining options at the back. This potential departure comes during a period of squad adjustment for the East London side. While the exact financial details and the identity of the player have not been officially confirmed, the transaction appears to be reaching a conclusion between the two parties involved.
