Gossip: Hammers ready to offload midfielder

The Story So Far

West Ham United appear willing to consider offers for midfielder Edson Alvarez following reports of interest from the Greek top flight. Olympiacos are said to have identified the player as a primary transfer target, and the Hammers are reportedly open to facilitating a departure. Since his arrival at the London Stadium, the midfielder has been a regular feature in the squad, but the club may now be prepared to move him on. A potential switch to Greece would offer the player the chance to compete for silverware with one of the nation's most successful clubs. The Hammers must now decide whether to sanction a deal or retain the player for the season ahead.
