Football Daily | West Ham want promotion – so it’s time to call in an understated club legend

The Story So Far

West Ham United is navigating life in the Championship following their demotion from the top tier. Under the management of Nuno Espírito Santo, the team has demonstrated significant offensive strength during the early stages of the campaign. High-scoring victories have highlighted their push for an immediate promotion, including six-goal shutouts against Wrexham and Lincoln. Additionally, the Hammers secured comfortable results over other divisional opponents, netting three or more times in wins against Wolves, Derby, and Bolton. Despite these positive outcomes through thirteen league fixtures, suggestions have emerged regarding the potential involvement of a low-profile club legend to assist their top-flight return.
